This V-Slot 20 x 40mm is made with 6063 T-5 Aluminum Extrusion and has a Beautiful, Shiny, Super Smooth, Clear Anodized Finished. V-Slot’s finish is much shinier than standard T-Slot extrusion which allows for a smoother ride for the Dual V Wheels. Use the Low Profile M5 Screws in conjunction with V-Slot. In 2.6.0, we introduced a new unified syntax (the v-slot directive) for named and scoped slots. T-Slot Fixture Plates These plates have three T-slots for use with T-slot nuts, bolts, and setup studs. There is a slot along each side of the plate for mounting with clamps. Aluminum plates are lightweight and have mild corrosion resistance. The way Vuetify dynamically names their slots uses a dot in order to select a specific part of the component (#header.data-table-select). ESLint can't distinguish whether you're trying to set a modifier on a slot (which is impossible), or if you have a slot name that contains a dot. The easiest thing you can do is disable the rule.

We feel that the desire to self replicate has been holding back the RepRap device from gaining wider acceptance and also attaining higher performance levels coupled with greater versatility. Ideally a T-Slot Replicator will be multi-tool enabled with support for FDM, Shape Deposition Manufacturing, CNC_MillSpindles, Pick and Place and possibly other tools like lasers and Laser Cutters. We also would like to see more versatile and off the shelf solutions for the electronics as few are willing or capable of creating their own boards. Lastly, the software needs to be more plug and play so that less time is spent installing, configuring and tweaking. See also Development Pathway

T-Slot / V-Slot

T-Slot has been around for many years. It has matured to a solid building system using in industry and by hobby engineers to build everything from machine enclosures to CNC machines, 3D printers and robots! It is strong enough to withstand many industrial stresses and modular enough allow for universal designs.

V slot vue

The T-slot system consists of extruded aluminum of various sizes with a “T” shaped slot on one or more of its sides. The shapes, sizes and designs may be different, but the “T” slot is common to all. The “T” slot allows of a variety of hardware to be connected to the extrusion so that complex structures can be constructed.

Types of T-Slot

There are many types of T-Slot available on the market. Some of the most common for small scale engineering include:

  • V-Slot
  • MakerBeam
  • OpenBeam
  • MicoRax

As show above, these 4 type range from 10mm to 20mm square profile. Each profile has its unique features, but all share the “T” slot function.

The profiles are not limited to square. V-slot, for example, comes in 4 sizes 20x80mm, 20x60mm, 20x40mm and 20x20mm :

V-Slot uses t-nuts and is different from the other profiles because has “V” grooves that fit special “V” wheels and allow for easy linear motion:
