Be careful, beginning to grow shelf ice. Great winter fishery overall. Scuds, Sow bugs, and midges are the go to's. Be sure and pack those San Juan worms as well.

This river forms lots of ice when temps drop. Typically this ins't a great winter fishing option. If you do find some open water, nymphing will be your best with your standards such as a pats rubberlegs, worms, midges and attractor mayfly nymphs.
